Terms of Service
Effective Date: March 5, 2026
1.Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using Iron Engine (the “Service”), available at ironengine.ai, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.
The Service is operated by Iron Engine (“we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Iron Engine.
2.Description of Service
Iron Engine is an AI-powered engineering calculation platform. The Service uses large language models for problem analysis and planning, combined with deterministic calculation engines and curated engineering reference data, to solve engineering problems across multiple domains including structural, mechanical, electrical, civil, chemical, and aerospace engineering.
The Service routes engineering problems through a multi-agent pipeline that separates reasoning from computation. All arithmetic is performed deterministically; the AI components plan and orchestrate calculations but do not perform math directly.
3.Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. By using Iron Engine, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
4.Account Registration
To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Promptly notify us of any unauthorized use of your account
- Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account
5.Subscriptions and Payment
Iron Engine offers paid subscription plans. By subscribing, you agree to pay all fees associated with your selected plan and to provide valid payment information through our payment processor, Stripe. Subscription fees are billed on a recurring basis according to your plan.
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with 30 days' notice. Price changes will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
6.Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying models, algorithms, reference data, or database schemas of the Service
- Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the Service beyond normal API usage within your subscription tier
- Circumvent rate limits, usage quotas, or other technical restrictions
- Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Service or its outputs without prior written consent
- Upload malicious files or attempt to compromise the security of the Service
- Misrepresent the outputs of the Service as your own professional engineering certification or stamp of approval
7.Intellectual Property
7.1 Our Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, reference data tables, algorithms, calculation pipelines, user interface, and documentation, is the proprietary property of Iron Engine and is protected by intellectual property laws. The curated engineering reference data and the natural language query system used to access it are proprietary assets of the Service.
7.2 Your Content
You retain ownership of the engineering problems, parameters, and data you submit to the Service (“User Content”). By submitting User Content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
7.3 Output
Subject to your compliance with these Terms and an active subscription, you may use the calculation outputs, reports, and solutions generated by the Service (“Outputs”) for your own engineering work. You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy and applicability of all Outputs before relying on them in any engineering design, analysis, or decision.
8.Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
8.1 No Professional Engineering Advice
The Service is a computational tool and does not constitute professional engineering advice, certification, or approval. All outputs are provided for informational and computational purposes only. You must independently verify all results before using them in any engineering design, safety-critical application, or regulatory submission. The Service does not replace the judgment of a licensed professional engineer.
8.2 No Warranty
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that reference data will be complete or current for all engineering standards and codes.
8.3 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall Iron Engine or its affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, whether based on warranty, contract, tort, or any other legal theory.
Our total liability for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
9.Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Iron Engine from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your reliance on any Output from the Service in engineering designs or decisions; or (d) any third-party claim related to your use of Service outputs.
10.Account Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we reasonably believe is harmful to the Service or other users. You may delete your account at any time, which will result in the deletion of your account data, solve history, and associated records.
11.Modifications to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on the Service with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12.Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Oregon, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in Oregon.
